On 1st September, Ubisoft officially announced the next installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise through their official Twitter handle. It is called Assassin's Creed Mirage, confirming all the leaks that were circulated throughout August.
On 10th September, Ubisoft premiered a showcase of all its upcoming games, mainly focusing on the Assassin's Creed Franchise. Fans' most-anticipated Assassin's Creed setting of Japan was also implored in the showcase.
For the OG Assassin's Creed fans, Ubisoft has good news as Mirage will feature gameplay that will take the series back to its roots. It will remove the RPG elements and introduce better stealth mechanics and a smaller map.
Assassin's Creed Mirage all editions
Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Mirage will be released in three editions. These include a Standard Edition, a digital Deluxe Edition, and a Collectors' Edition.
Standard edition
The standard edition only features the base game. Gamers pre-ordering a copy will get some more bonus content. The list includes "The forty thieves" bonus quest and a 10$ e-gift card.
Deluxe Edition
The second is the deluxe edition featuring the base game, any eligible preorder bonuses mentioned above, and the deluxe package.
The extra items will be delivered as digital content. In-game items like an outfit inspired by Prince of Persia, eagle and mount skins, weapons, a digital steelbook, a digital soundtrack, and more are included.
Collectors' Edition
The final version is called Assassin's Creed Mirage Collector's edition which is exclusive to the Ubisoft store.
This edition features the base game, the deluxe content mentioned above, any eligible preorder bonus, a figurine of Basim, a soundtrack, a steel book, a replica of Basim's brooch, Baghdad's map, a digital steelbook, and more.
What is the price of Assassin's Creed Mirage?
The standard and deluxe editions are available for preorder on PS4, PS5, XBOX Series X/S, and PC with a price tag of 49.99$ and 59.99$ respectively on all platforms.
The collector's edition will only be available on the Ubisoft store with fixed pricing of 149.99$ for all platforms.
Which Assassin's Creed Mirage edition should you buy?
Casual gamers who just want to complete the story and don't care about collecting figurines or decorating their setup must go with the standard edition or the deluxe edition. Both of them include the base game. However, the Deluxe variant will cost 10$ more for some bonus in-game content.
Prince of Persia fans, who want to play as Basim wearing the Prince of Persia outfit, can choose to buy the Deluxe Edition. Otherwise, the Standard Edition is enough.
Hardcore gamers or Basim fans who want the figurine to decorate their setup can opt for the Collector's Edition.
